The deGraffenried Design Scholarship for the National Art Honor Society

The dF has partnered with the National Art Honor Society on a new scholarship program that will be a one-time $7,500 award given to a graduating high school student who demonstrates a deep understanding and passion for art and design. The NAHS strives to nurture creative growth and innovation by equitably advancing the tools and resources for a high-quality visual arts, design, and media arts education throughout diverse populations and communities of practice. Their program provides national recognition and opportunities for students who exhibit outstanding scholarship in the visual arts, and for their teachers. Partnering with such an established organization, we hope to discover emerging talent across the country to support young designers.

Any graduating student who is a registered member of the NAHS and pursuing a design degree at a college or university is qualified to apply for this award.

The 2024 application for The deGraffenried Design Scholarship for NAHS is officially closed. The scholarship recipient will be announced on our social media page by June 15.

Thank you to all who applied!

We are thrilled to be working with such an established organization to help expand our contributions to the design community and we’re excited to discover amazing talent within the NAHS network. We hope this scholarship encourages and inspires more students to pursue a career in the design industry

I am pleased to have had a critical role in facilitating the launch of a new national scholarship available to high school students pursuing creative careers in the design disciplines. My first college major was in architectural design and as the son of a professional graphic designer, I anticipate that this will be a productive pathway for every National Art Honor Society chapter member who is awarded this honor for years to come.
